Si buscamos Doctor Bird, encontraremos que es el pájaro nacional de Jamaica. Una especie de colibrí de larga cola, como apreciamos en el logo de este sello.
En lo musical, Doctor Bird fue un sello en el que trabajaba Graeme Goodall. Goodall trabajó en emisoras de radio jamaicanas y recuperó algunas producciones jamaicanas, para distribuirlas en el Reino Unido.
Como nota curiosa, Trojan Records en 1970 volvió a activar este sello aunque solo sacaría 3 referencias .
